SKIVO Blue Paraffin 40 g

Scope of use: it ensures a good running and downhill ski or snowboard glide on all types of snow at various temperatures. It serves as an undercoat wax for basic ski running surface maintenance and preservation.

Directions for use: to ensure a good durability of waxing, it is recommendable to iron in paraffin waxes in the running surface. Apply the wax on a cleansed running surface, free of wax residues and impurities. Warm the ski iron up to a temperature between 120 and 140 ··C. Then, attach wax to the ski iron and let it warm up. Afterwards, quickly affix the softened wax to the running surface and spread it over. Repeat the procedure over the whole length of the running surface to create a sufficiently thick wax layer (thus avoiding the ski iron direct contact with the running surface). Now, you may iron the wax in the running surface, while maintaining the direction of ironing from the top to the bottom end at all times. Wax should be melting only, and, one stroke should take about 20 seconds. Let the skis cool down to the room temperature. During this time the running surface will “absorb” the necessary wax into the pores. Pull off excessive wax using a Skivo plexi scraper. Finally, brush the running surface up with a soft polishing brush and polish it over with Skivo towel.

Scope of use: for snow temperatures between 1 and 6°C below zero
